I do hope everyone is enjoying their summer break and that everyones jobs/freetime are going as planned. Before the fall is back I just wanted to put this out there. If anyone has some ideas about what can be done with the hall website and would like to submit them then it might possibly be implemented =) Have a great week!
Men of Johnson Third East,
The time has come to prepare for the ever popular HALL SMASH! But we can't have the Smash if we don't get anything to smash! Rummage through your rooms, your friends' rooms, the dumpster, anywhere to help contribute to this semester's Hall Smash. So far, we have a couple of non-working DVD players, but we can do better than that! Be creative and bring all that you can by Andrew Groves' room. We want to make this the best smash yet!
The Mario Kart tournament that began at 2 pm yesterday waged on late into the evening as racers battle for position to advance to the next round of races! The competition was tight and excitement was high as everyone put forth their best with a little luck as well to take to their room the first place trophy. At the end of the tournament Nate Osgood arose the victor taking this amazing mario kart phone trophy shown below. The phone, purchased by Andrew Groves, will be passed down each semester as a continuing hall tradition. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for next semesters chance to win this phone for yourself
So a random update with several random points:
First, remember to keep checking back frequently as things are constantly being changed, added, and updated.
Secondly, notice on the calendar that the Mario Kart tourney has been moved to Sunday, April 5.
Thirdly, the hall/soccer team is considering buying a good pair of goalie gloves for the next several semesters of intramurals. We have asked the players on the team to contribute $5 each or so toward this purchase if they are able. However, if anyone else on the hall, or any other hall supporters have a few bucks to spare, we won't discriminate.
Finally, our first soccer game was cancelled and we are looking for a future Saturday to make up a few games. Let Crum know what weekend will work for you -- maybe 3 weeks from now? We should also probably get together for a team practice before our first game now that we have an extra week. Let Oz or Crum know when will work for you.
